Two Hurst students won prizes in the prestigious Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators, organised by Queen’s College, Oxford.
Lois L and Jessica B were awarded a Commendation for their Spanish translations. This is an outstanding achievement in such a highly competitive national competition.
This year, more than 25,000 students from across the country entered the competition, with almost 5,000 translations judged by a panel of expert linguists.
Congratulations to all Hurst linguists, from across the year groups, who took part – their enthusiasm for languages, and creativity in their entries, was impressive.
